Yohimbine Hydrochloride
Yohimbine hydrochloride is one of my favorites. There’s an extensive history both in pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals for the purpose of both an effective fat burner and as male sexual enhancer. It has been proven to work for helping people burn fat from stubborn fat regions on their body and it was the old gold standard for erectile disfunction as well as the majority of other male and female sexual disorders.
Yohimbine is an indole alkaloid derived from the bark of the Pausinystalia yohimbe tree in Central Africa. Up until the invention of Viagra, yohimbine was the primary treatment for sexual dysfunction in men. It is considered a stimulant, an aphrodisiac, and a MAO inhibitor as well as antagonist of the Alpha 2 adrenoceptor. It is a prescription medicine by the name Yohimbine HCl, and it causes ADHD like symptoms in users. it is important to note that while the terms yohimbine, yohimbine hydrochloride, Alpha yohimbine, and yohimbe bark are related, they are not interchangeable.
Many supplement companies claim they have yohimbine on the label, but if you look closely it contains just the bark. This has a mixture of conflicting versions of Yohimbine, not the medicine Yohimbine HCl which we will discuss here as it’s the main form used in GOOD supplements. 850 mg of yohimbine bark has only 5 mg of Yohimbine HCl in it! You will see on many supplements that claim to have yohimbine, but they only contain 50 mg of BARK not HCl; Which will not have any significant result.
Who Is It Prescribed To?
Main prescription of yohimbine HCl is for people with dry mouth from tricyclic antidepressants (norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors) and for the sexual dysfunction of SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor) antidepressants like Prozac and Paxil. The National Institute of Health (NIH) has declared that there is a sufficient amount of evidence that yohimbine effectively treats Erectile Dysfunction, Orgasmic Dysfunction in men, and Hypoactive Desire Disorder in women (low sex drive).
Studies have concluded that Yohimbine increases sex drive in women, increases the hardness of erections in men, and helps guys reach orgasm if they can’t normally. Although there aren’t any studies that test male subjects’ sex drive, it’s generally assumed that the same desired effect occurs. The process in the brain for both men and women is the same. The genital tissue that swells due to increased blood flow is virtually identical. If you take it, you may want sex more, enjoy it more, and be less likely to disappoint your partner!
How It Works
Yohimbine HCl causes more Nitric Oxide to be released causing your penis to get bigger and harder and more adrenaline to be released allowing your penis to stay hard longer. Since the vagina is the same tissue as the penis It also makes vaginas more sensitive.
The Thor’s Hammer / Toddleemd.com Test booster combo pack is a product that I designed to help increase the body’s ability to produce testosterone naturally. Yohimbine HCl is an important ingredient that I have included in Fenris’ Fury to make the combination of the two products the perfect male sexual enhancer. Between the testosterone boosting effects of DAA and vitamin D3, the NO producing effects of Agmatine Sulfate, and the erection enhancing effects of Yohimbine, the Thor’s Hammer / Toddleemd.com Test booster combo pack + Fenris’ Fury is the perfect male sexual enhancer. I’ve also included ingredients that may increase testosterone receptors, decrease testosterone converting to estrogen, Increase IGF-1 receptors, block estrogen receptors, and increase natural growth hormone production 3 different ways at 2 times of day. Articles regarding all the ingredients in the Thor’s Hammer / Toddleemd.com Test booster combo pack and Fenris Fury can be accessed here and here.

Fat Loss
Yohimbine is well known for it’s impact on fat loss. It is particularly useful for people who care what they look like! Many people have stubborn fat; places on their body fat won’t mobilize from. On men it’s the midsection and around the organs, the life threatening visceral fat. In women it’s the butt and thighs and back of the arms.
Many swear by Yohimbine HCl to lose fat in those resistent places. It’s as if the Yohimbine HCl tells your body its “OK” to lose fat from those stubborn fat locations! It does this by binding to the Alpha 2 adrenal receptors. Those are mostly located on the sex hormone dependant fat deposits, the ones i listed in the last sentence of the previous paragraph.
Side Effects
You probably know someone who claims that they don’t use Yohimbine because it's dangerous. This is true only in very high doses.
The doses used in sports performance products are never over 5 mg. But the normal prescription dose for Yohimbine HCl is 15-30 mg!! The side effects these hypochondriacs claim to have only occur if someone has over 40-100 mg. There are allergic reactions which are possible at low doses, but this occurs with all substances. 90% of the population uses caffeine daily. If a person that typically ingested 350mg of caffeine a day increased it to 5000 mg, this would also be dangerous.
I am convinced that Yohimbine HCL is safe in proper doses. I’m only one doctor. Here are what my colleagues say:
“Hallucinations or paralysis may occur with doses greater than 40 mg. Higher doses of oral yohimbine may create numerous side effects, such as rapid heart rate, overstimulation, anomalous blood pressure, cold sweating, and insomnia. In rare cases panic attacks, hallucinations, headaches, dizziness, and skin flushing have occurred”.
People who have other medical and/or psychiatric conditions may have a bad reaction to Yohimbine HCl. Most doctors agree that a patient with high blood pressure, a mood disorder and a variety of other medical issues should avoid caffeine. Basically the blunt point that I am making is that Yohimbine has a bad reputation due to a badly informed population. If you have a medical condition, you should consult a medical practitioner prior to taking any supplement. If you are a healthy person Yohimbine HCL, in my opinion, is as safe as a cup of coffee.
