Ways to Increase Testosterone

Testosterone is the most important male hormone. It is critical for having the physique every man wants.  It has a plethora of health benefits but most importantly almost all the traits you need to attract and satisfy a woman require testosterone. from facial features, personality, tone and depth of voice, smell, penis size/hardness,sexual functioning,  and sex drive require testosterone. Here are the main ways to increase your natural testosterone production.

Diet

Testosterone is made from cholesterol. Although we make some cholesterol in our body it’s critical to eat a sufficient amount of cholesterol.  Eggs are very rich in cholesterol and it’s no surprise that for decades they were the gold standard in muscle building diet foods.  Vitamin D is a hormone like vitamin and it is necessary for Testosterone production. Deficiency in Vitamin D causes low testosterone production and increasing Vitamin D in these men’s diets has shown a 20% increase in testosterone production.  Diets high in fat and low in fiber help produce more testosterone than diets low in fat and high in fiber.  I suggest a diet with 30%-40% of daily calories from fat, with at least 1 whole egg and 2,000 iu vitamin D for increasing your testosterone.  I realize many people may think this is not healthy.  I am not saying it is healthy. I’m saying this will be the best approach at increasing your testosterone through food. I do however agree with the evidence that cholesterol from 1 egg won't increase LDL cholesterol by a clinically significant amount (not that it increases it any amount, but if it did it wouldn't have an impact on you).

Some studies indicate that carbohydrates decrease testosterone production. One in particular showed that 75 g of liquid carbs post workout decreased post workout testosterone levels by 25% for up to 2 hours.  That means when you should be recovering from the workout your testosterone is blunted by your “Mass Gainer”.

Training

Heavy compound movements build muscle partly by releasing growth hormone and testosterone.  Weighted pull ups, weighted dips, squats, deadlifts, incline bench press, military press, and bent rows.  Weight so heavy you can’t get 12 reps, but not so heavy you can’t get 6 perfect reps.  These should be the core of your workouts if you want to release more testosterone and have the strongest, most impressive physique possible.

Although rest periods of 60 seconds release more growth hormone, rest periods of 90 seconds release more testosterone. Resting 120 seconds is inferior in regards to both of these hormones. So for fat loss stick to 60 second rests and stay away from carbs pre/mid/immediately post workout.  For muscle building keep your rest periods at 90 seconds with the lifting mentioned above and wait about 30 minutes to have carbs for the largest post exercise testosterone spike.

Supplementation

D-Aspartic Acid (Na- D Aspartate) is one of my absolute favorites.  In men with decreased production of testosterone, nothing turns it up faster than DAA.  It acts on the testes to produce and release testosterone and results are noticed within 24 hours.  Take 3g first thing in the morning, on am empty stomach. It works on the brain to increase memory and tells the brain to produce hormones that stimulate testosterone production.  It helps the testes absorb cholesterol for production of testosterone and it amplifies hCG’s effects on testostosterone production.  I put both DAA and Vitamin D in my natural testosterone booster - Thor’s Hammer / ToddLeeMD.com Test Booster Combo Pack. It is the most scientific approach to natural test boosting on the market.

hCG is a prescription drug used for infertility. It acts on the testes in concert with DAA to increase testosterone production and release.

ZMA is good as a Zinc supplement for deficient men, but if a man has sufficient zinc levels more is unnecessary.

Tribulus Terrestris is marginally helpful in men with low testosterone and sperm production but not in men with normal production.

Neither Tribulus, ZMA, Long Jack, Or horney goat weed do anything for healthy young men, but DAA does. It increases testosterone by 40% in as little as 12 days according to this study. It of course would work even better than these astounding results in the men who those inferior supplements would help.  That's why I included it in the  Thor’s Hammer / ToddLeeMD.com Test Booster Combo Pack.

Anti Estrogens

There are two classes of anti estrogens.  Both are awesome! Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERMs) and Aromatase Inhibitors.  Both started as prescription drugs for breast cancer.  Aromatase inhibitors stop the enzyme aromatase from converting testosterone to estrogen. This has two huge benefits:

1) You’re not degrading your testosterone to estrogen– duh!

2) The estrogen signals the body to reduce testosterone production, less estrogen thus means more testosterone.

Aromatase inhibitors (AIs) are like taking your foot off the breaks and hitting the gas at the same time. They work great with hCG, DAA, and SERMs to reverse infertility.  The best one is prescription Arimidex, but there are over the counter versions available and I included the best ones in Thor’s Hammer!

SERMs inhibit the estrogen receptor in all the bad places, but activate the estrogen receptor in the good places like the liver and testes.  It helps, not hurts your cholesterol, and boosts testosterone production directly! Tamoxifen is the king of this category.

Many of you have heard of PCT or Post Cycle Therapy. This is nothing more than increasing your natural testosterone production post cycle.  I get a great deal of terrible questions about SERMs and PCT. It’s clear that people on the forums have no idea what they are talking about. It seems people think a SERM is a magic pill that turns your nuts back on after a cycle.

NO

It’s just there to increase natural production through inhibition of the receptor for estrogen. The AI is the main agent as that stops testosterone from being converted to estrogen. If this is still unclear you shouldn't try to do your own PCTThis level of biochemistry is difficult for some people.

Thor's Hammer is your best bet for over the counter non prescription PCT. I’ve worked with hundreds of athletes. By the time they are ready to seek my consultation they have already been taken off track and are on the wrong protocols for oct and pct. I am convinced that virtually none of the physicians are capable of properly assisting athletes with their cycles. In many cases my clients have told me that they needed to explain to their physician what PCT even is, and how it is supposed to work!!

That's why I made the Thor’s Hammer combo pack, to protect people from the mistake of doing it themselves or trusting an incompetent doctor who might offer clomid. A clear indication they are not “with it” or “in the know.”
